    Installation and dismantling of the tower crane.

     

    All work on the installation and dismantling of tower cranes are carried out in strict accordance with the instructions and the manufacturer's passport. Special attention is paid to checking the insulation resistance of electrical wiring and grounding devices. Installation of the tower crane begins with a thorough study of the design documentation. These and other work related to the installation, take over the specialists of the "Kiev Crane Plant".

     

    Tower cranes of KB series are mounting in one way - lifting of the tower folded forward. Differences are only in the design diagrams of cranes, how to build up the tower and reduce the transport length of the crane during transportation. Before starting the installation for those types of tower cranes that move along the rails, it is necessary to prepare a mounting platform, lay a crane track of at least 12.5 m in length, supply electricity, deliver the elements of a tower crane, equipment, tool to the construction site, then start assembling and lifting the tower.

     

    The tower is raising in the working position, and then lower the head section of the boom, join it to the main section and patch the rope of the arm.The boom is raising  to the working position, switch the electric circuit from the remote control to the control from the cab, mount the lighting fixture, test the tap in accordance with the requirements of the permitting authorities put into operation. The specialists manage the installation of crane equipment of all well-known brands, including such as Liebherr, Zeppelin, Potain, SAEZ, QTZ, etc. To work with them we use certified materials and modern technology

    The installation includes 5 key stages:

    • Preparation of the work plan, calculation and design of the foundation and crane tracks.
    • Preparing the construction site and laying crane tracks.
    • Build and raise the tower. At this stage, the base of the tower crane, its tower, head, support frame, boom, counterweight, etc., is installed. One of the installation options is using the mounting clip. This technology is attractive for greater speed and less laborious construction.
    • Commissioning, testing. Experts check the reliability of all fixtures, the integrity of the structure, its safety and suitability for operation.
    • Preparation of accompanying documentation. Upon completion of the installation of the tower crane, an act is prepared, protocols for technical inspection.
